International Ice Hockey Tournament “Moldova Prime Minister Cup” was held in Chisinau on May 12-15, 2011

On May 12-15 capital of the Republic of Moldova Chisinau hosted an International ice hockey tournament for junior teams. This year the tournament was held under patronage of the prim-minister of Moldova.

Six U-14 teams from four countries participated in the cup: “Dinamo” (Chisinau, Moldova), "Brest-98" (Brest, Belarus), "Dunаrea Galati" (Galati, Romania), ice hochey clubs from Ukraine "Sokol" (Kiev), "Dneprovskie yastriby”  (Dnepropetrovsk), "SDYUSHOR-98" (Harkov).


“Dinamo” (Chisinau, Moldova) and "Brest-98" (Brest, Belarus) met in final match. Moldovan hockey team won 7:1. Top goal-scorer of the tournament was named Dmitry Caraseni, captain of Moldovan team “Dinamo” (Chisinau) who scored 22 goals during the tournament. It worth mentioning that last year the winner was “Brest-98” which won the tournament with score 4:2.

Organizers noted that the international ice hockey tournament “Moldova Prime Minister Cup” should become traditional and be held yearly in Moldova.
